Hannah is feeling much better. Her fever went down by the end of the day yesterday and she was awake and active today. She spent 4 hours in the playroom today, I told her it was probably a record for the longest time ever spent making crafts in the playroom. Grandma and Grandpa came up to visit for most of the day, which helped raise her spirits too.
Her counts are better today-
WBC 1.51 Low
ANC 340 Low-most likely can't go home until it's at least 500
HgB 7.4 Low
PLT 117 Low
Due to the drop in her red blood cells now also, she had a blood transfusion today. Her body seemed to tolerate it well, so problems there and hopefully her blood will now stay at normal levels on it's own. The blood transfusion takes 3 hours, and she was in the playroom the entire time, so that's a nice distraction. Kids are so resilient it's amazing. No bacteria growth in the culture after 24 hours, so that's encouraging.
Her eating is ok since we've been here, however she refused to eat any dinner. Finally at about 9pm she had a candy bar and two pieces of chocolate. I told her that this was the last time for that allowance and she just smiled-she knows!
Waiting for counts tomorrow for a release.
xoxoKim

Hi Hannah Sunshine,
I am so glad to hear there was no bacteria growth in the culture and your fever has come down. Now we just continue to pray for your counts to rise and home you come.
I pray that your strength will return along with your appetite and you eat all you can.
Sounds like you had fun in the playroom. What did you make?
How is the pony webkinz? Saw your beautiful picture with the pillow case-Hope it is comfy. Remember the angels are all around you always.
Look forward to seeing you real soon.
I love you much

Happy Birthday Hannah!!
I am so happy you got to share cupcakes with everyone at school. I wish more of my students brought cupcakes on their birthday! (In the Junior High not too many students celebrate their special day with their whole class).
I've been reading about your band-aid collection and I am very intrigued. Which is your favorite and is their any design you are in search of? I start working at Barth's Drug Store soon and will be able to order (almost) any type of band-aid I choose!! So you just let me know what you need!! If I find a good one, I'll be sure to send it over!
Keep smiling chicklet! I think about you everyday!

Hi Hannah and all the family,
Today Ty got to go to the Yankees game with his pal Dylan. They got to see the Rocket pitch and ate junk food all day long. Ty even figured out how to use a twizzler as a straw.Ty was glad to get to school for your birthday celebration despite his broken collar bone. He is feeling much better each day.We are glad to hear that your counts are on their way up and that you will be home again soon. If you ever feel like eating a hot dog we just opened our hot dog truck in Southold. Come by one weekend, maybe Ty could wait on you.
Keep getting stronger.
Love,
The Bugdins
